Ready to leave the floor? This fast-paced intermediate intensive is designed for floor riggers who feel ready to begin exploring suspension fundamentals in a structured, safety-focused environment.
This class focuses on hangers and uplines, teaching students how to properly distribute and balance weight throughout a suspension harness. Students will work through core suspension concepts, connection points, load management, and foundational suspension handling skills.
Students must already have a strong foundation in harness work before attending. You should already know:
Basic chest harness
Mermaid hip harness
If you are not yet confident with these ties, it is highly recommended that you attend the Rope Fundamentals Intensive on Saturday, May 30 at PDX Sanctuary to build proficiency with the required skills.
You must bring a bottom/practice partner unless you are self-suspending
Minimum of 4 carabiners
Suspension plate
Safety Sheers
Uplines: posh or synthetic rope only
Body rope: posh, synthetic, jute, or hemp are all acceptable
